Hit the art gallery trail during the morning, then make your way up to Scarborough Boat Harbour for a lunch of fresh seafood. Head down to Woody Point for a stroll along the jetty, then retire to the pub for a drink and watch the magnificent sunset across the bay- said by some to be the best in the world!

Sunday
Start the day off with a browse through some markets to check out the many stalls, then have a leisurely lunch at one of the many cafes. A late afternoon stroll along Margate Beach promenade will round the day off nicely.

A day out with the kids

Saturday
Pack the kids and the dog into the car and head over to Pelican Park for some exciting kite flying. For lunch, head to Margate Beach for some fish and chips, then back to Woody Point to check out the wreck of HMQS Gayundah.

Sunday
Head out to the amazing Railway Place playground at Scarborough Beach Park, then treat the crew to lunch at one of the many nearby cafes and restaurants. Call in at the Redcliffe Museum on your way home for an insight into the Peninsula's history. You might even have time to take a self-guided heritage walk.
