Minor Arcana - Cups
Cups representing emotions, feelings and spirituality. They correspond to the Water element.

King: A fair man, man of business, law or divinity who will help the Querent, art, science, law, creativity. Reversed: Dishonest double dealing man, roguery, injustice, vice, scandal, considerable loss.

Queen: A good fair woman, honest devoted woman who will be of service to the Querent, loving intelligence, successes, happiness, virtue, perfect spouse, good mother. Reversed: A distinguished woman but one not to be trusted, perverse woman, dishonour, depravity, vice.

Knight: Arrival, an approaching messenger, advances, propositions, invitation. Reversed: Trickery, artifice, subtlety, duplicity, fraud.

Page: A fair young man who will render service to the Querent, news message, reflection, meditation, study. Reversed: Inclination, seduction, deception, artifice.

Ten (10): Contentment, repose of the heart, perfect human love and friendship. Reversed: Repose of the false heart, indignation, violence.

Nine (9): Concord, contentment, victory, success, advantage, satisfaction. Reversed: Truth, loyalty, liberty, but also imperfections.

Eight (8): Mildness, timidity, humour, modesty, a matter that is not as important as first thought. Reversed: Great joy, happiness, feasting.

Seven (7): Fairy favours, reflection, sentiment, contemplation, nothing permanent or substantial. Reversed: Desire, will, determination, a project.

Six (6): The past, memories, looking back, childhood, things that have vanished. Reversed: The future, that which will soon come to pass.

Five (5): Loss but not total, inheritance, marriage but with frustrations or bitterness. Reversed: alliances, affinity, ancestry, return.

Four (4): Weariness, aversion, imaginary vexations, strange blended pleasure. Reversed: Novelty, new instruction, new relations.

Three (3): Conclusion of a large matter, happy issue, fulfillment, healing, solace. Reversed: Expedition, achievement, end, pleasure of the senses.

Two (2): Mutual love and passion, friendship, union, unity, interrelation of the sexes. Reversed: Conflicting interests causing separation, disillusion.

Ace (1): House of the true heart, joy, contentment, nourishment, comforting shelter. Reversed: House of the false heart, revolution, disquiet.
