Minor Arcana - Wands
Wands, staves, rods or batons, representing creativity, action, business and movement. They correspond to the Fire element.

King: Friendly man, countryman (generally married) honest and conscientious, news concerning an unexpected marriage or inheritance.Reversed: Good but severe, austere yet tolerable.

Queen: A dark Woman, countrywoman, friendly, chaste, loving, honourable, success in business. Reversed: Opposition, jealousy, deceit and infidelity.

Knight: Departure, absence, flight, a dark young man, friendly, change of residence. Reversed: Rupture, division, interruption, discord.

Page: Faithful man, a lover, an envoy, one bearing faithful testimony, family advice or knowledge. Reversed: Announcements, evil bad news, indecision and instability.

Ten (10): Determination to finish a project, oppression from stress and strain, success of a kind. Reversed: Difficulties and intrigues, self-reliance.

Nine (9): Strength in opposition, meeting an onslaught boldly, formidable antagonist. Reversed: Obstacles, adversity, calamity.

Eight (8): Swiftness, messenger, great haste, great hope, arrows of love. Reversed: Arrows of jealousy, stung conscience, quarrel between man and wife.

Seven (7): Valour, war or trade, competition, barter, success in business. Reversed: Perplexity, embarrassments, anxiety, caution against decision.

Six (6): Great news, crown of hope, a victor triumphing. Reversed: Apprehension, fear, an enemy at the gate, disloyalty, infinite delay.

Five (5): Sham fight, strenuous competition, search for riches and fortunes. Reversed: Disputes, trickery, contradiction.

Four (4): Country life, haven of refuge, prosperity, peace, domestic harmony. Reversed: Similarly prosperity, beauty, harmony, embellishment.

Three (3): Established strength, enterprise, cooperation in business, effort. Reversed: End of troubles, cessation of adversity, toil and disappointment.

Two (2): Riches through effort, success through commerce. Reversed: Surprise, emotion, fear.

Ace (1): Creation, enterprise, invention, birth, starting point, origins, beginning. Reversed: Fall, decadence, ruin, a certain clouded joy.
